Rosa Ana Tang, M.D., M.P.H.

Dr. Rosa Tang

Dr. Rosa Tang is board certified in Ophthalmology. She received her M.D. at C. Heredia University in Lima, Peru were she graduated Summa Cum Laude. Her Medicine internship was at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) in Galveston, Internal Medicine residency at the University of Miami, Ophthalmology residency at Georgetown University, Washington, D.C. and fellowship in Neuro-Ophthalmology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. She holds a Master's Degree in Public Health from the University of Texas School Of Public Health, specializing in Health Promotion and Prevention. She is a current fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (A.A.O.) and the North American Neuro-Ophthalmology Society.

Dr Tang is a retired professor from UTMB and holds a teaching position in the Dept of Neurology at UT Houston. She is currently the Director of the Multiple Sclerosis Eye CARE Center at the University of Houston and of Neuro-ophthalmology of Texas, her private practice. Dr Tang is a pioneer in Telemedicine –Tele-ophthalmology and has published over 100 peer review articles and book chapters in her field. Dr Tang has been named in the Best Doctors in America publication for several years and hold honors from the AAO and both UT Schools for teaching awards. Dr Tang is a well known national and international speaker.
