Opening Reception

The Library is pleased to host Dr. Dina Mody as the speaker for the opening reception.

As both physician and president of the American Society of Cytopathology, Dr. Mody presents a broad overview of experience in the profession. We celebrate women physicians in the Houston area as well as hosting companion exhibits on women in medicine.

Doctors Patricia Chevez-Barrios, Melba Swafford, Rosa Tang, and Luz Venta will discuss their education and careers in the medical profession. Each physician exhibits a number of accomplishments.

These events will take place on the Street Level of the Houston Academy of Medicine-Texas Medical Center Library near the Street Level Conference Room. Parking, at $2.00 for the first 20 minutes and $1.00 for each additional 20 minutes, is available in Garage 4 across from the Library.
