Charge: To develop processes, procedures and mechanisms for providing or securing staff
development programs for HARLiC members at all levels – professional, paraprofessional, technical,
clerical and other. Attention should be given to:
- Assessing staff development needs on an ongoing basis.
- Designing/developing programs on an ongoing basis.
- Traditional and non-traditional methods of training.
- Sharing local library staff development programs/opportunities with other member and non-member libraries when appropriate.
- Identifying opportunities for HARLiC members having similar functions or interests to become better acquainted and to share expertise and information.
