The HAM-TMC Library Interlibrary Loan service provides you with book/audiovisual loans and high-quality copies of documents (primarily journal articles and book chapters) from materials NOT OWNED by the HAM-TMC Library.

Cardholders and Non-Cardholders alike are welcome to use the Interlibrary Loan service. Non-Cardholders may only request non-returnables (i.e., journal articles or book chapters, etc.). There are fees associated with Interlibrary Loan.

You may pay by cash, check, credit card, Grant/PO number, or by invoice (HCMS Physicians and faculty only).
Our standard turnaround time for Interlibrary Loan requests is 3-5 days, depending on where we obtain the requested material. Expedited delivery (Rush, Same-Day Rush) is available for an additional fee.
Our "Local Library" network consists of a large number of libraries both in-state and out-of-state with whom we have service agreements. Requests supplied from the Local Library network are usually received within 2-3 days. Approximately 2/3 of our requests are supplied from our "Local Library" network.

All users should place their PC/ILL requests through our web-based requesting system. If your requests often come from a search done on the PubMed or NLM Gateway, consider signing up for the Loansome Doc service, which provides you with an easy way to electronically request materials.
