DENTAL SECTION
HISTORY AND MISSION

The Dental Section, established in 1933, is the oldest section in the Medical Library Association. The Dental Section works:

to promote communication between oral health care professionals and information providers;

to serve as a voice of the dental information provider in the academic and professional world;

to foster cooperative programs and sharing of information among libraries;

and to promote communication among its members and with other individuals in dental and health science libraries.
