Library Access Fee Program
Eligibility for Free Full-Member Cards - In general, faculty, students and staff from Participating and Supporting Institutions of the Houston Academy of Medicine - Texas Medical Center Library, as well as members of the Harris County Medical Society are eligible for free HAM-TMC Library cards. Bring your institutional identification badge to the Circulation Desk to obtain your card. Cards must be renewed yearly to insure uninterrupted service.
Health care providers who are not cardholders can receive some privileges through the Library's role as the Regional Medical Library for the South Central Region of the National Network of Libraries of Medicine.
Organizations and individuals that wish to have borrowing and other membership privileges at the HAM-TMC Library can do so through the Library Access Fee Program. Fees are listed below. All memberships are subject to an annual increase of 5% each fiscal year (FY), as illustrated in the table below. A fiscal year runs from September 1 to August 31.
